Houston Energy & Climate Startup Week 2026

Houston Energy + Climate Startup Week 2026 was a five-day, community-led event focused on energy and climate innovation. It brought together startups, investors, major energy companies, technology providers, researchers and industry leaders to discuss emerging technologies and opportunities in the energy sector. The program included startup pitches, investor meetings, panel discussions, workshops, networking events, technology demonstrations and site visits held at different locations throughout Houston. The Ion District was one of the main hubs for the week. A major event within the program was the Rice Alliance Energy Tech Venture Forum, where 50 energy-tech companies presented their technologies to more than 600 investors and industry leaders. The forum provided opportunities for startups to gain visibility, find investment and establish commercial partnerships. The event focused on areas including energy innovation, climate technology, decarbonization, energy transition, electrification, energy infrastructure, investment and commercialization. Overall, the event served as a platform for connecting emerging energy technologies with investors, potential customers and established industry partners, supporting the development and commercialization of new solutions for the energy and climate sectors.
