Houston Developer Launches AI-powered Water Platform to Boost Efficiency

Houston-based McCord Development has launched an AI-driven water management platform called MizuWatch, designed to improve how water systems are monitored and maintained. The platform combines data from smart meters, supply systems, maintenance logs, and historical usage records into a single system. It uses AI, digital twin technology, and visual mapping to provide near real-time insights, helping operators detect leaks faster, reduce water waste, and improve overall efficiency. According to the company, MizuWatch is intended to help municipalities and utilities deal with challenges like aging infrastructure, water scarcity, and complex distribution systems. It was developed and tested at McCord’s Generation Park development in Houston, where smart meter data highlighted the need for better analytics tools. Company leaders say the platform can scale across different regions and system sizes, turning raw sensor data into actionable decisions for infrastructure management.
