Collins Aerospace Secures Major Win with JetBlue as Predictive Tech Gains Industry Traction

Collins Aerospace, a business of RTX (NYSE: RTX), is expanding its footprint in commercial aviation technology through a new agreement with JetBlue, marking a significant milestone in the adoption of predictive analytics across the airline industry. The partnership centers on the deployment of FlightAware Foresight®, a real-time analytics platform designed to optimize airline operations. JetBlue fully integrated the system into its operational workflow in July 2025, as part of its broader strategy to enhance on-time performance, minimize delays, and improve passenger satisfaction. FlightAware Foresight leverages machine learning algorithms and billions of global data points to deliver real-time insights into potential disruptions, such as adverse weather, airspace congestion, and operational bottlenecks. The system allows airlines to make proactive adjustments in gate assignments, crew scheduling, and flight paths—boosting efficiency and minimizing downstream delays. JetBlue executives say the tool will play a critical role in strengthening the carrier’s competitive edge. “FlightAware Foresight offers unparalleled accuracy and actionable insights, enabling us to proactively manage disruptions and deliver a more seamless travel experience,” said Tom Lloyd, JetBlue’s Director of SOC Strategy & Continuous Improvement. The move also supports JetBlue’s long-term push for digital transformation, aimed at both operational reliability and customer experience improvements. The airline expects the tool to help reduce misconnects, optimize turnaround times, and provide passengers with more accurate, timely updates. The agreement is equally significant for Collins Aerospace, which is steadily expanding its connected aviation portfolio. “This implementation allows JetBlue to make informed, real-time decisions that positively impact the entire travel journey,” noted Nicole White, VP and GM of Connected Aviation at Collins Aerospace. Though financial details of the deal were not disclosed, industry analysts view the JetBlue adoption as a key validation of predictive technologies in commercial aviation—a sector under increasing pressure to modernize amid rising passenger expectations and growing operational complexity. Collins Aerospace, which employs approximately 80,000 people worldwide, is one of three core businesses under RTX, alongside Pratt & Whitney and Raytheon. RTX reported $80+ billion in sales in 2024, and has positioned data-driven aviation solutions as a central pillar of its long-term growth strategy.
