🚁 TenneT Germany Prepares Offshore Helicopter Tender for North Sea Operations

TenneT Germany is exploring the offshore helicopter transport market ahead of launching a new tender for aerial transport services to its converter platforms in the North Sea. The tender, expected to begin between 2027 and 2029, will cover personnel and cargo flights to support its expanding offshore grid infrastructure. A prior information notice issued on June 3 reveals that this market consultation aims to align the tender conditions with industry capabilities and gather input on service expectations. TenneT currently operates 12 offshore grid connections with 7.1 GW capacity and has ten more in development, totaling 15.7 GW. The move underscores the TSO's growing needs as it strengthens its offshore energy infrastructure and prepares for future operational demands.
