🌞 Daikin Powers Up Sustainability with New Solar Plant at Texas Campus

Japanese HVAC giant Daikin Industries has completed a 1-megawatt solar power plant at its massive Daikin Texas Technology Park near Waller, Texas — home to North America’s largest HVAC factory. The solar installation will power the facility’s central chiller plant and is designed to integrate with the campus’s electric grid. The project is expected to eliminate 845 metric tons of CO2 emissions annually, advancing Daikin’s goal of becoming a net-zero carbon emission factory by 2030. The Waller campus employs around 10,000 people and spans over 4.2 million square feet. The move highlights Daikin’s push for energy efficiency and environmental leadership, shortly after gaining public attention for acquiring naming rights to Daikin Park, home of the Houston Astros.
