🇩🇪 Germany Launches 282MW Rooftop Solar Tender as Part of 2025 Expansion Drive

The German Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur) has officially launched its second rooftop solar PV tender for 2025, aiming to allocate 282MW of new capacity. This initiative is part of Germany’s broader plan to auction 1.1GW of rooftop solar across three separate tenders throughout the year. 🔹 Bidding Deadline: Monday, 2 June 2025 🔹 Maximum Bid Price: €0.104/kWh (US$0.118/kWh) Germany has been witnessing significant interest in its solar auctions. The previous rooftop tender in March 2025 was oversubscribed by 20%, awarding 315MW at an average price of €0.091/kWh. Likewise, a recent ground-mounted PV auction saw 2.6GW awarded amid 3.8GW in bids, confirming growing momentum in the sector. This tender comes on the heels of Germany surpassing the 100GW milestone in installed solar PV capacity — underlining its aggressive push towards energy transition and climate goals.
