🇺🇸 Kanadevia Inova Expands Strongly in U.S. Waste-to-Energy Services Market

Swiss engineering and services company Kanadevia Inova (KI) has announced the acquisition of Matrix Power Services, a Rhode Island-based firm that provides maintenance services to approximately 65% of all waste-to-X plants in the U.S. The deal marks a significant expansion of KI’s footprint in the North American waste-to-energy (WtE) services market. Matrix Power Services operates primarily along the U.S. Eastern Seaboard, where most of the country’s waste-to-X infrastructure is located. KI stated the acquisition enhances its ability to provide lifecycle support for its large-scale combustion technologies, helping to unlock potential for new-build WtE projects across the U.S. This move aligns with Kanadevia Group’s medium-term strategy to grow its operations and maintenance (O&M) business. It follows KI’s recent acquisitions in Europe, including Denmark’s BWRS and UK-based biogas firm Iona Capital.
