🔋 TotalEnergies Invests €160M in German Battery Storage Projects

TotalEnergies has announced a €160 million investment in six battery storage projects across Germany, set to go live in 2026. With a combined capacity of 221 megawatts, these projects follow the French energy giant’s acquisition of German renewables developer VSB, reinforcing its strategy to expand in Europe’s largest economy. CEO Patrick Pouyanne highlighted that the initiative supports the company's goal of providing clean, firm power while aiming for a 12% profitability target in the sector. TotalEnergies is also exploring gas-fired power opportunities in Germany to diversify its energy portfolio.
