🇫🇷 France Launches Consultation for 9 GW Offshore Wind Tender AO10

France's Directorate General for Energy and Climate (DGEC) has opened a consultation for its AO10 offshore wind tender, aiming to award 8.4–9.2 GW of new capacity by end-2026, with projects expected to be operational by 2035. The DGEC is seeking feedback on project size (single 2 GW vs. smaller 1 GW plots), grid connection plans, site locations, and measures to ensure competitive bidding. Proposed projects span the English Channel, Atlantic, and Mediterranean coasts, including both fixed-bottom and floating wind. The consultation runs until April 4, 2025.
