🚢 TenneT Launches €5.3 Million Tender for Offshore Crew Transfer Services

TenneT, the Dutch national transmission system operator, has issued a tender valued at €5.3 million for the provision of crew transfer vessel (CTV) services to support its offshore wind grid infrastructure in the Dutch North Sea. The contract scope covers year-round CTV operations between the port of Vlissingen or the port of IJmuiden and seven offshore high-voltage substations. The contract is scheduled to commence in June 2025 and will run through June 2027, with an option for a one-year extension. TenneT is seeking a single service provider to ensure efficient and reliable transport of personnel to and from the offshore platforms, which are critical to maintaining operations of existing offshore wind grid connections. The services will support Borssele Alpha and Beta, Hollandse Kust Zuid Alpha and Beta, Hollandse Kust Noord Alpha, and Hollandse Kust West Alpha and Beta platforms. Notably, six of the seven grid connections are operational, while Hollandse Kust West Beta, which will connect the OranjeWind wind farm, is expected to become operational later in 2025. The tender is managed by TenneT’s Grid Field Operations Offshore Netherlands (GON) unit, responsible for the operational management of the offshore grid. The submission deadline for tenders is 29 April 2025.
