Siemens Invests $285M in U.S. Manufacturing Expansion 🇺🇸

Siemens has announced a $285 million investment to expand its manufacturing footprint in the United States, including the construction of two new production facilities in California and Texas. This move is part of a broader strategy to strengthen Siemens’ position in the U.S., its largest market, bringing its total investment in the country to over $10 billion. Additionally, the company is set to acquire Altair, a Michigan-based software firm, further enhancing its presence in the industrial digitalization and AI sectors. Over the past 20 years, Siemens has invested more than $90 billion in the U.S., with the 2025 investments pushing this figure beyond $100 billion. The company aims to boost technological capabilities, create jobs, and drive innovation in AI-driven manufacturing. The announcement comes amid a wave of manufacturing investments in the U.S., with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) also revealing plans to increase its U.S. investments to $165 billion, including three new chip manufacturing plants and two packaging facilities in Arizona.
