🔆 Uniper launches 233 MWp of solar projects in Hungary, Germany, UK

German energy giant Uniper SE has announced the launch of 233 MWp of solar photovoltaic projects across Hungary, Germany, and the UK, reinforcing its commitment to renewable energy and grid transformation. 🔹 𝗛𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗿𝘆: Two large-scale solar projects with a combined capacity of 151 MWp. - Dunaföldvár (61 MWp): Expected to be grid-connected in 2026. - Tét (90 MWp): Slated for completion in 2027. These projects will generate enough clean energy to power 92,000 households. 🔹 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆: A 17 MWp solar farm under construction at the site of the former Wilhelmshaven coal-fired power plant. - 28,500+ solar modules will cover 14 hectares (34.6 acres). - Expected to produce 17 GWh annually, enough for 4,500 homes. Commissioning set for H1 2026. 🔹 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗱𝗼𝗺: Two solar projects in the Midlands: - Tamworth (44.2 MWp) and Totmonslow (21.33 MWp). - Combined, they will supply 23,300 households with clean electricity. Expected to start feeding power into the grid in 2026. These initiatives are part of Uniper’s €8 billion investment strategy, aiming for a 10-GW portfolio of ready-to-build renewable energy capacity by 2030.
