Qair Wins Contract for 61.2MW Wind Farm in Germany 🌬️

Independent renewable energy company Qair has secured a contract to develop a 61.2MW wind farm in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Awarded through a tender by ForstBW, the project will feature nine turbines generating 150,000MWh of clean electricity annually, enough to power 40,000 households. This initiative aligns with Germany’s goal of achieving 80% renewable electricity by 2030 and its planned coal phase-out. Recent policy changes, including an accelerated permitting process and community benefit schemes, are driving renewable investments. Qair, already operating 31MW of wind and solar assets in Germany, has a 600MW pipeline under development, including the 194MW Altötting wind farm, the largest in Bavaria. The company targets 3GW of installed capacity by 2027, further strengthening its role in Europe's energy transition.
