Eurazeo Invests €70M in Germany’s Offshore Wind Service Fleet ⚓

European investment firm Eurazeo, through its Transition Infrastructure Fund (ETIF), has invested €70 million in MPC OSE Offshore, a German joint venture by MPC Capital and O.S. Energy, focused on developing next-generation offshore wind service vessels. The partnership, announced in November 2024, has already commissioned its first vessel from Esbjerg Shipyard in Denmark, with an option for five more. The total investment for six Offshore Survey and Service Vessels (OSSVs) amounts to €130 million, with the first delivery expected in 2026. Eurazeo’s Martin Sichelkow highlighted the strategic importance of the venture in supporting Germany’s and Europe’s offshore renewable energy sector, while MPC Capital CEO Constantin Baack emphasized the growth potential in the offshore wind industry. This investment marks a significant step in strengthening Germany’s offshore wind infrastructure and advancing Europe’s low-carbon economy. 🚀
