📢 US Biogas Industry Hits Record $3 Billion Investment Last Year

The American Biogas Council (ABC) has reported a record-breaking year for the US biogas sector, with $3 billion invested in 125 new projects in 2024. This marks a 17% increase in new projects and a 40% rise in investment compared to the previous year. Biogas facilities now total nearly 2,500 across the US, producing 1.4 million scfm of biogas—a key renewable energy source used for electricity, transportation fuel, heat, and natural fertilizer. ABC Executive Director Patrick Serfass highlighted biogas as a crucial energy solution, reducing emissions, supporting domestic energy needs, and providing sustainable alternatives to chemical fertilizers, especially amid global supply chain challenges.
