🔋 Eco Stor Begins Construction on Large Battery Storage Facility in Schleswig-Holstein

Eco Stor has started construction on a new battery storage facility in Schuby, Schleswig-Holstein, with a power capacity of 103.5 megawatts and 238 megawatt hours of storage. The project, covering 1.5 hectares, will feature 64 container stations equipped with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries and 32 stations for inverters and transformers. The facility will store excess energy twice a day, releasing it during high-demand periods to support grid stability. Eco Stor is prioritizing community and environmental considerations by limiting construction to weekdays during daylight hours and incorporating regional shrubs and trees to create habitats for local wildlife. This project follows the soon-to-be-completed facility in Bollingstedt and is part of Eco Stor’s broader plan to deploy additional large-scale storage systems across Germany. The new facility is scheduled to go online by spring 2026.
