🚗 Stellantis to Produce Hybrid Car Parts at Termoli Plant Amid EV Battery Plans

Stellantis has announced plans to manufacture dual-clutch transmissions (eDCTs) for hybrid vehicles at its Termoli plant in Southern Italy. The site, initially designated for an electric vehicle (EV) battery gigafactory by its joint venture ACC, will produce 300,000 eDCT units annually starting in 2026. This decision comes as ACC temporarily pauses its plans for gigafactories in Italy and Germany, with a final decision expected no sooner than June. Meanwhile, Stellantis has also confirmed increased investment in its Metz plant in France, signaling its ongoing commitment to hybrid and EV technologies. By leveraging the Termoli facility for hybrid components, Stellantis aims to meet current market demand while maintaining flexibility for future EV production.
