🏗️ Isuzu Motors to Build $280 Million Auto Factory in South Carolina

Isuzu Motors has announced plans to build a new $280 million automotive factory near Greenville, South Carolina. The 1-million-square-foot facility is scheduled to open in 2027 and will create approximately 700 jobs. The factory will have a production capacity of up to 50,000 vehicles per year. The new plant will feature a flexible production line capable of manufacturing both gasoline and electric-powered trucks on the same assembly line. Isuzu also plans to use locally sourced components to reduce reliance on imported materials and navigate potential tariff challenges. This investment aligns with the company’s strategy to strengthen its presence in North America and respond to the growing demand for electric commercial vehicles in the U.S. market.
