Energiequelle Secures Permits for Two Wind Farms in Germany 🌱

Energiequelle GmbH has received permits for two new wind farms in Lüben (Lower Saxony) and Minden (North Rhine-Westphalia), with a total capacity of 38.4 MW. The projects, approved in December, will soon enter the tendering and construction phase. The Minden project is a repowering initiative, replacing older turbines with three Nordex N149 units, increasing efficiency by over 500%. Meanwhile, in Lüben, five Enercon E-138 turbines will be installed after more than a decade of regional planning efforts. Both wind farms aim to be operational by 2026, further strengthening Energiequelle’s role in renewable energy. In 2024 alone, the company has secured approvals for 15 projects totaling 290 MW in wind power and 74 MWp in solar.
