Eiffage to Build 113 MWp Solar Plant and Substation in France ☀️

Eiffage Énergie Systèmes has been awarded the contract to construct and commission a 113 MWp photovoltaic (PV) power plant and a 105 MVA 33/90 kV delivery substation for EDF-Renouvelables (EDF-Re) on a former air base in Nivouville. The project, developed under a 30-year agreement with the Grand Châteaudun community, will see Eiffage handling high-voltage battery (HVB) and balance-of-system (BOS) works. The substation, set for commissioning in summer 2025, will connect the solar farm to the RTE power transmission network via a 90,000 V underground link. At peak construction, 50 Eiffage team members will be on-site. Two Eiffage subsidiaries will collaborate to ensure the seamless startup of both the PV plant and substation. This initiative strengthens France’s renewable energy infrastructure, supporting its transition toward sustainable power solutions. 🚀
