🚀 EU Allocates €250 Million for Hydrogen Infrastructure Development

The European Commission has approved over €250 million in grants under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) to fund 21 hydrogen infrastructure studies across multiple EU countries. This investment aims to mitigate risks in the emerging hydrogen market and support the EU’s decarbonization goals. Key projects include the BarMar-H2med corridor (Spain-France), hydrogen backbones in Italy, Portugal, and Spain, and Nordic-Baltic Hydrogen Corridor feasibility studies. The funding is part of a €1.2 billion energy infrastructure program, the largest under the current CEF Energy scheme, supporting hydrogen, electricity grids, and CO₂ transport. The next CEF Energy funding call is planned for 2025, marking another step toward a greener, more integrated energy market.
