✈️ USA BioEnergy to Build $2.8B SAF Facility in Texas 🌱

USA BioEnergy (USABE) has acquired 1,600 acres in East Texas to develop a $2.8 billion advanced biorefinery, converting wood waste into sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). The project supports the growing demand for cleaner air travel and has secured a 20-year offtake agreement with Southwest Airlines for up to 680 million gallons of SAF. The facility, set to convert one million tons of forest thinnings annually into 65 million gallons of net-zero fuel, will also capture and sequester over 50 million metric tons of CO₂ over its lifetime. Once blended with conventional jet fuel, the SAF could enable up to 112,000 short-haul or 7,000 long-haul net-zero flights per year. Construction will take approximately two years, followed by a six-to-eight-month commissioning period. The project has received $150 million in tax incentives and credits from federal, state, and local entities, providing economic growth and job opportunities in Newton County, Texas. This major investment strengthens USABE’s position as a leader in advanced fuels while contributing to aviation sustainability and regional economic development. 🚀
