Healthcare payments company Waystar has launched AltitudeCreate, a generative AI-powered tool designed to automate the creation of appeal letters for denied insurance claims. The innovation aims to reduce the $20 billion U.S. hospitals spend annually fighting claim denials. Integrated into Waystar's AltitudeAI suite, the tool saves time, reduces administrative costs, and addresses staffing shortages in the healthcare industry. Developed in partnership with Google Cloud, AltitudeCreate is already available to current users of Waystar’s denial and appeal management software at no additional cost. Waystar CEO Matt Hawkins emphasized the transformative potential of AI in healthcare, saying, “Generative AI unlocks a new era of productivity and precision.” By addressing claim denial inefficiencies, Waystar is positioning itself as a key player in streamlining healthcare administration and reducing operational strain on providers.
