♻️ Danpower Acquires Two Waste-to-Energy Plants in Germany

Danpower, a subsidiary of Enercity, has successfully acquired two waste-to-energy plants in Germany from Steag's Iqony GmbH. The facilities are located in Lauta, Saxony, and Rüdersdorf, Brandenburg. As part of the acquisition, all approximately 100 employees working at the plants will be retained by the new owner. Danpower's future plans for these plants include capturing and utilizing the waste heat generated during electricity production. This waste heat will be directed into nearby district heating networks, helping to power up to 25,000 households with renewable energy.
