☀️ France's Third Renewable Energy Tender: Winners and Key Solar Projects Announced

France’s Ministry of Ecological Transition announced the winners of the third round of its PPE2 “technology-neutral” tender, with a total of 500.6 MW awarded out of 500 MW called. Solar energy continues to dominate, accounting for 463.7 MW across 35 projects, compared to just 36.9 MW from three wind projects. No hydroelectric projects were submitted. Key solar projects include: - Emorots Agrivoltaic Plant (30 MW, Côte d’Or by Q Energy). - Chevenon Floating PV Plant (29 MW, Nièvre by Soleil Elements 10). - Ground-mounted PV on a former military base (33.95 MW, Meurthe-et-Moselle by Urbasolar). Wind energy saw three land-based projects approved, including two in Côtes-d’Armor and one in Eure-et-Loir, developed by IEL Exploitation 31 and Boralex. The average price dropped to €80.6/MWh, down from €85.19/MWh in the previous round. The next tender, for 500 MW, is set for 2025.
