Hydro Expands Recycling Capacity in North America to Meet Sustainable Aluminium Demand ♻️🇺🇸

Hydro, the Norwegian aluminium group, is boosting its recycling operations in North America with an €86 million (NOK 1 billion) investment at its Cressona, Pennsylvania facility, raising its annual capacity from 220,000 to 270,000 tonnes. 🌍✨ The company has also partnered with Padnos to launch advanced sorting operations in Grandville, Michigan, targeting 20,000 tonnes of mixed post-consumer scrap annually for its low-carbon aluminium line, Circal. 🔍⚙️ With plans to double its recycling capacity to 1.2 million tonnes by 2030, Hydro is already ahead of schedule, having produced over 443,000 tonnes last year.
