🌞🚗 Mercedes-Benz Unveils "Solar Paint" for Vehicles 🌟

Mercedes-Benz has revealed an innovative breakthrough from its research division: the "Solar Paint." This ultra-thin photovoltaic coating can be seamlessly applied to vehicle bodies, enabling cars to harness solar energy for their operation.
The Solar Paint is only five micrometers thick and adds just 50 grams per square meter to the vehicle's weight. It boasts a 20% efficiency rate, with a nanoparticle-based protective layer that allows 94% of sunlight to penetrate. The coating is adaptable to any vehicle surface or shape and is made from non-toxic, easily available raw materials. It avoids rare earths and silicon, making it not only more sustainable but also significantly cheaper to produce than conventional solar panels.
With an 11-square-meter surface, a medium-sized SUV could generate enough energy under optimal conditions to drive up to 12,000 kilometers annually. In cities like Stuttgart, up to 62% of daily travel could be powered directly by solar energy, while in sunnier locations like Los Angeles, drivers might cover 100% of their average mileage.
