Wrightbus, a leading UK bus manufacturer headquartered in Ballymena, has made a strategic acquisition of RGI Bus and Coach Refurbishment Limited, a respected player in the bus and coach refurbishment sector. This acquisition strengthens Wrightbus’s capabilities in providing end-to-end refurbishment services, adding upholstery, metalwork, and comprehensive repair options to its offerings, which already include powertrain conversions through its subsidiary, NewPower.

The acquisition aligns with Wrightbus’s recent milestones, including a £500 million contract with Go-Ahead and recognition as Europe’s fastest-growing bus manufacturer. RGI’s facilities in Southam and its team of 13 skilled staff will integrate into Wrightbus, with RGI’s founder, Ross Cleaver, taking on the role of Head of Repair and Refurbishment UK.
