🌍 H2med Project: Building Europe’s First Hydrogen Corridor 🚀

The H2med project, Europe’s pioneering hydrogen corridor initiative, has opened a Call for Interest, inviting stakeholders to outline their needs for renewable hydrogen infrastructure. This non-binding call by five European TSOs—Enagás, GRTgaz, OGE, REN, and Teréga—runs until December 18, 2024, aiming to optimize planning for the corridor, which will connect hydrogen networks across Portugal, Spain, France, and Germany by 2030.

With a budget of €2.5 billion, the H2med project includes the CelZa interconnection (Portugal-Spain), the BarMar subsea pipeline (Spain-France), and connections reaching Germany. The first results of the call are expected to be shared with stakeholders in early 2025, supporting the drive for affordable, renewable hydrogen across North-West Europe.
