🚙 Volkswagen’s Scout Motors Announces Retro-Inspired EVs with Gas Range Extender to be Launched in 2027 🚙

Volkswagen’s Scout Motors has revealed its concept electric SUV and truck, slated to hit the market in 2027 with production based in South Carolina. Initially planned as an all-EV brand, Scout now offers extended-range versions powered by a small gas engine for battery recharging, addressing U.S. drivers’ charging concerns.

The nostalgic Scout Traveler SUV and Terra pickup will start below $60,000 and are designed with retro styling, including mechanical switches and door handles, echoing classic models like the Ford Bronco and Land Rover Defender. Scout plans direct sales with simplified pricing and service, aiming for 100 U.S. retail centers as it competes with Tesla, Rivian, and GM in the EV market.
