📈 Elengy and SPSE Launch Feasibility Studies for Rhône CO2 Transport Network to Support Industrial Decarbonization in France

The Rhône CO2 project aims to develop a CO2 transport infrastructure in France 🇫🇷 to decarbonize industrial activities in the Rhône Valley and the Fos/Berre/Lavera industrial port area. Led by Elengy and Société du Pipeline Sud-Européen (SPSE) 🔗, the initiative aligns with the French government’s CCS strategy and is set for completion by 2030 📅. A final investment decision is anticipated in 2027, with operations expected to start by 2030 and a planned capacity exceeding 2.7 million tonnes per annum by 2035 📈. Partners include Fibre Excellence, Heidelberg Materials, Lafarge, Vicat, Petroinéos, and H2V 🤝. Two pre-FEED studies will take place in late 2024 to adapt the necessary infrastructure 🏗️. Additionally, Elengy is involved in the Grand Ouest CO2 (GOCO2) project, which seeks to establish a similar transport network in Montoir-de-Bretagne.
