New Opportunities for Marine Energy Development: US TEAMER Program Opens Technical Support Applications 🚀
The TEAMER (Testing Expertise and Access for Marine Energy Research) program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy and directed by the Pacific Ocean Energy Trust, has launched its 14th application period for technical support requests. Submissions will be accepted until October 4, 2024, with support activities planned from April 2025 to January 2026.
Applicants must consult with their chosen facilities to align technical objectives before submission. Recently, TEAMER allocated $2.1 million to support 13 projects focused on testing and numerical modeling within its Facility Network.
Additionally, the Bourne Tidal Test Site in Massachusetts has been added as a new open-water testing facility for tidal energy prototypes, enhancing testing capabilities in the region. 🌍💡
