Elawan Energy, a Spanish renewable power company with its U.S. headquarters in Houston, has signed a corporate power purchase agreement (PPA) with Google to supply energy from a 37 MW solar project located in Texas Hill Country. This collaboration, facilitated through LevelTen Energy’s LEAP process, aims to streamline the execution of clean energy agreements, contributing to Google’s ambitious goal of achieving 24/7 carbon-free energy by 2030.

With local offices in Houston, Elawan is expanding its North American footprint and currently manages over 300 MW of operational renewable energy across ERCOT, SPP, and PJM regions. Texas has now outpaced California as the leading state for new solar energy installations, adding 1.6 GW in recent months. 🌍⚡️
