Upcoming Hydrogen Project: GET H2 Nukleus in Lingen, Germany 🇩🇪⚡🌱

The GET H2 Nukleus Project is a key initiative in Germany's transition to green hydrogen, forming part of the country's broader strategy to decarbonize its industrial and energy sectors. Located in Lingen, Lower Saxony, the project is positioned as a major hub for green hydrogen production, targeting industrial users across Germany. This large-scale project is designed to support the ambitious goals of the European Union's IPCEI (Important Projects of Common European Interest) framework, which focuses on advancing hydrogen technology as a cornerstone of Europe's climate strategy.

Project Overview:

Electrolyzer Capacity: The electrolyzer plant will be built in phases, starting with 100 MW by 2025 and expanding to a total capacity of 300 MW by 2027. The electrolyzers will produce green hydrogen using renewable energy sources, significantly reducing carbon emissions in the process.

Location: Lingen, Lower Saxony – an industrial hub well-connected to energy infrastructure, making it ideal for hydrogen production and distribution.

Collaborating Partners: The project involves several prominent players in the hydrogen and engineering sectors:

  • Linde Engineering: A leader in gas technology, responsible for the design and construction of key components.
  • ITM Power: Specializing in electrolyzer technology.
  • Sunfire: Another electrolyzer specialist contributing advanced technology.
