Saudi Arabia's EV Auto Show: A Leap Towards Green Mobility 🌱🚗

The EV Auto Show is back in Riyadh from September 17 to 19, showcasing Saudi Arabia’s commitment to electric vehicles and sustainable technology. Hosted at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center, this key event aligns with Vision 2030, bringing together automotive manufacturers, charging solution providers, policymakers, and consumers.


Attendees can explore various EVs, charging solutions, and green technologies, with interactive seminars and panel discussions featuring industry experts. As Saudi Arabia targets producing and exporting over 150,000 electric cars by 2026, the show plays a crucial role in advancing clean technology and addressing current challenges.


Ravi Ravichandran from Ford Middle East highlights the rapid growth in consumer interest, with 40% of Saudis considering EVs within the next year. Despite misconceptions about EVs, increasing awareness and infrastructure development are essential for widespread adoption.


Electromin is expanding the Kingdom's charging network, focusing on fast charging facilities in high-traffic areas. The push for local talent development and the expansion of EV-related job opportunities are also pivotal to the sector’s growth.


Looking ahead, advancements in charging infrastructure and local manufacturing capabilities are expected to drive down costs and enhance competitiveness in Saudi Arabia's evolving EV market.
