Germany is taking a big step towards a greener future with its Power Plant Strategy!

The government will launch the first tenders for hydrogen-ready gas-fired power plants by late 2024 or early 2025. Here's what's planned:

--> 5 GW of new H2-ready plants + Additional 5 GW of gas-fired plants to ensure power supply during low wind and sun periods

--> 2 GW of H2-ready modernizations

--> 500 MW of pure hydrogen plants

--> 500 MW of storage

The costs of this massive Project will be subsidized to ensure smooth transition to green or blue hydrogen.
