HYDROGEN VALLEY PIEMONTE

The Piedmont Region has launched the Hydrogen Valley programme, a €40 million initiative providing non-repayable grants to businesses that want to invest in the energy transition and build a complete hydrogen supply chain across the region. The programme is open to enterprises of all sizes, applying either individually or as part of a consortium. The investment must be located in Piedmont, on disused industrial sites, and each project must integrate three core components: hydrogen production, hydrogen use and training activities. Companies are therefore expected to commit to a comprehensive transition path rather than a single isolated intervention. Key figures: Grant coverage: up to 90% of eligible costs Total funding available: up to €40 million Funding type: non-repayable grant Application deadline: 30 June 2026 Eligible projects include the construction of renewable hydrogen production plants, the redevelopment of disused industrial areas, the use of hydrogen in zero-emission mobility, and the decarbonisation of industrial and logistics processes. Applications are assessed against the requirement to combine production, use and training within a single coherent project.
