Piccolo Credito 2026 – Interest-Free Loans for SMEs and Freelancers in Lazio

The Lazio Region has launched the Nuovo Fondo Piccolo Credito 2026, a €51.7 million programme providing direct interest-free loans to micro, small and medium enterprises, business networks and freelancers that face difficulties accessing conventional credit channels. The programme is open to businesses already incorporated and with at least two closed financial years on record. A registered operational unit in Lazio is required — or must be established before signing the financing agreement. Companies from outside the region may therefore apply, provided they commit to opening an operational unit in Lazio. Key figures: • Loan amount: €10,000 – €50,000 • Interest rate: 0% • Repayment period: 60 months (12-month grace period included) • Coverage: up to 100% of eligible project costs Eligible projects include business development, new product or market initiatives, working capital needs and digital or material investments — all to be completed within 12 months of disbursement. Applications open on 11 May 2026 on a rolling basis until funds are exhausted.
