Warsaw Named One of Europe’s Top Cities for Investment in New Financial Times Ranking

Warsaw has been ranked third among Europe’s major cities for investment in the latest European Cities and Regions of the Future report by fDi Intelligence, part of the Financial Times group. The Polish capital placed behind only London and Dublin, improving its position from fourth last year. The study evaluated 521 European cities across five key areas: economic strength, human capital and quality of life, cost effectiveness, connectivity, and business friendliness. Warsaw stood out by generating more foreign direct investment–related jobs than any other European city over the past five years. Technology has been a major driver of this growth. Since 2020, Warsaw has attracted over $1 billion in tech-related investment, with global companies such as Google, Microsoft, and Visa expanding their presence in the city. The capital also ranked second for business friendliness and human capital, sixth for economic potential, and ninth for cost effectiveness. The strong performance of Warsaw, along with high rankings for Kraków and Wrocław in their respective categories, highlights Poland’s growing importance as a leading investment hub in Europe.
