Climatic chambers for transmittance tests on building components

The purpose of this specific project is the design and construction of a testing system for building facade elements, from walls, roofs, and windows to louvered doors, to examine their thermal behavior in both winter and summer and in stationary and dynamic climatic conditions. ACS is able to offer customized solutions thanks to its more than 60 years of experience in designing customized environmental simulation chambers, its technical know-how and the close attention given to the requests of all our customers. Example of a chamber built according to customer specifications. The ACS climatic chamber for transmittance tests evaluates the overall behavior of solar buildings, i.e. facade elements equipped with integrated modules for the production of electricity or heat using solar energy technologies. By carrying out the appropriate tests, it is possible to investigate how the integrated solar thermal collector alters the temperature profile and the flow of energy through the wall, to understand whether the additional insulation improves the efficiency of the collector or what the composition of the wall materials must be in order to maximize the overall energy balance if the PV modules are integrated and, therefore, work better at lower temperatures.
